This work emerged from a pictorial exploration in which I experimented with a range of tonal variations and a more elongated brushstroke. The black background proved to be an especially vibrant field of exploration, allowing the colours to radiate with both intensity and subtlety, giving rise to a composition that is at once elegant and playful.

The idea for Flower Hill came to life when soft cream tones naturally found their place in the upper part of the painting, enhancing the contrast between shadow and the brilliance of the colours. From this dialogue emerges the impression of a mysterious walk through flower-covered hillsides, imbued with poetry and a quiet sense of enchantment.

The artwork is presented with a black mat featuring a white core, carefully chosen to enhance the composition and lend additional refinement to its presentation. It can easily be removed by the collector, allowing the framing to be customised according to personal preference.
