I am Johanna-Lisa, a painter.

I create original artworks, entirely handmade.

I paint landscapes that belong to no specific place. Inspired by nature, my works gradually move away from the visible world to become open spaces where each viewer can reconnect with their own inner landscape.

Nature is not my subject. I see it as a source of transformation through which I explore our states of transition. A flower, shimmer of light or movement become a threshold between the outer world and our inner experience.

I return to this exploration again and again because it reflects the way I inhabit the world. Each painting is a search for balance between presence and disappearance, between figuration and abstraction. 

Here I present three series, each built around a gradual exploration of perception.

INNER LIGHT brings together luminous paintings in which floral forms are simplified to create vibrant compositions that engage harmoniously with contemporary interiors while maintaining a strong pictorial identity.

INNER LANDSCAPES explores landscapes as spaces in constant motion. Nature is suggested through fluid structures, allowing each painting to become a mental territory suspended between memory and perception.

THE EDGE OF THE VISIBLE is a series of paintings that explores the processes of transformation at work within the pictorial medium. Rather than depicting fixed forms, I am drawn to transitional moments: emergence, mutation, and dissolution. Form is never stable, but always in the process of becoming something else.

The painterly gesture acts as a force of transformation, revealing organic, unstable structures that are sometimes recognizable and sometimes entirely dissolved into colour and texture.

Collecting

My paintings are intended for those who seek more than a decorative object: a presence, an atmosphere, a resonance. They are created for spaces where art becomes a point of connection, contemplation, and quiet reflection.

Studio

I work from my studio, where every painting is conceived, created, and completed by hand. It is a place of research and experimentation, where ideas gradually take shape, away from the logic of standardized production.
