Cascade
Cascade is part of an ongoing exploration of landscapes in transformation, at the threshold between abstraction and sensory perception.
Through layered applications of paint and fluid, expressive gestures, the work creates a deep, almost immersive space where the surface seems to be in constant motion. Shades of blue structure the composition, evoking not only cascading water but also mineral formations and inner landscapes.
Rather than offering a fixed representation, the painting invites an evolving visual experience. As the viewer’s distance and the light change, new forms gradually emerge, encouraging the eye to wander and discover ever-changing relationships within the composition.
This diptych belongs to a broader body of work exploring the memory of landscapes and their reinvention through the language of painting. Created over two intense painting sessions, it stands as a key work within this series and is designed to engage in a compelling dialogue with contemporary architectural spaces.
