This painting was created in oil through successive layers of blue, ranging from deep tones to soft grey-violets. By keeping contrasts deliberately subtle, I sought to enhance the sense of abundance and movement suggested by the flowers.

The square format plays an important role in the composition, allowing the energy to circulate freely across the surface. Broad, spontaneous brushstrokes create a feeling of swirling motion, giving the painting a lively, almost immersive rhythm.

A curved arc structures the upper part of the composition. It may evoke the handle of a basket overflowing with flowers—or perhaps a fleeting memory of a flower festival—yet it remains intentionally abstract, leaving the image open to interpretation rather than directing it.

The viewer is free to navigate between abstraction and representation, discovering their own landscape within the painting.
